Precision Through Detail

Chris King Precision Components was founded in 1976 and has spent nearly fifty years building headsets, hubs, and bottom brackets entirely under one roof in Portland, Oregon. Chris King isn't a design house that outsources production — they're a complete manufacturer, machining, assembling, and inspecting every bearing system themselves, which is exactly the kind of hyper-focus on critical, easy-to-overlook detail that defines everything they make.

Their own philosophy is simple: “We want every Chris King component to last a lifetime.” That shows up in how the parts are built — serviceable rather than disposable, with recyclable materials and a manufacturing process that uses organic canola oil instead of traditional cutting fluids, recycling aluminum and steel chips back into the supply chain through a closed-loop filtration system.

It also shows up outside the factory. Chris King's team is active in trail building and maintenance in their own community, putting the same care into the places people ride as they put into the bearings that keep them rolling.
