The Main Line Greenway
WHO STARTED THE MAIN LINE GREENWAY?
Local cycling groups such as The The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia (includes Bike Montgomery County, Bike Delaware County), Narberth Cycling Club, & unaffiliated advocates for safer streets on The Main Line.
In 2018, Leonard Bonarek, Regional Planner of the Bicycle Coalition, Kimberley Bezak, Co-head of the Narberth Cycling Club, and others met to brainstorm a low-stress route to connect Narberth to The Circuit Trail Network.
Next, the group organized a community meeting which was attended by Narberth and Lower Merion Residents. This was the pilot of Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia’s TASCC program: Technical Assistance to Suburban Circuit Communities. The main goal of TASCC is to get more communities safely connected to Circuit trails – a network of bicycle and pedestrian trails connecting the Greater Philadelphia region.
