State Bicycle Co. started in 2009 as three friends at Arizona State University who wanted a fixed-gear bike that didn't cost a semester's tuition. Fifteen-plus years later, they're still based in Tempe, Arizona, and still building around that same idea — quality bikes at a price that doesn't shut new riders out.
Their rule hasn't changed: “We will never put out a product that we wouldn't or don't use ourselves.” Every bike gets a Riders First build, and colorways run in limited batches, then retire for good — so no two eras of State ever look quite the same.
Their mission is simple: inspire an enthusiasm for life lived on bikes, without losing sight of why anyone gets on one in the first place — for fun.
