Beargrease is Salsa's groomed-trail fat tire race bike. Built around a high-modulus carbon fiber frame and Bearpaw carbon fork, it's designed to ride like a trail bike despite its massive wheels and tires, delivering the sure-footed rollover of 27.5 x 3.8" tires to cover challenging terrain quickly. It's named for John Beargrease, a celebrated winter mail carrier who ran sled routes along Minnesota's North Shore in the late 1800s.
