Blackthorn 145 C is Salsa’s carbon all-mountain platform, built as a confident descender that still climbs and pedals efficiently. A high-modulus carbon frame and 145mm of Split Pivot rear suspension travel give it the composure to handle diverse, demanding trail conditions, while on-bike cargo capacity means you can leave extra gear off your back.
Features
- High-modulus carbon fiber frame with 6061-T6 aluminum links for a stiff, efficient, durable chassis
- Split Pivot rear suspension (145mm travel) tunes pedaling and braking forces independently, with a progressive leverage rate for small-bump compliance and bottom-out resistance
- Slack 63.9° head tube angle and steep 77.4° seat tube angle balance descending stability with climbing efficiency
- Flip Chip adjusts BB height and head angle by up to 5mm / 0.3° to fine-tune geometry
- Convertible to 125mm travel with a different shock/link setup, so the frame can be tuned to the ride you want
- Two bottle mounts, an integrated repair-kit storage location, and internally guided, dropper-post-compatible routing for on-bike cargo
