Cutthroat is Salsa's adventure-focused, drop-bar mountain bike, engineered for bikepacking expeditions and ultra-distance racing. Its carbon fiber frame is built around geometry designed for stability across mixed terrain — gravel, two-track roads, and technical singletrack — with ample bag and rack mounts to support fully self-supported travel.
Features
- Class 5™ VRS — vertically oriented seatstays that flex outward on impact, paired with horizontally stiff chainstays for compliance without sacrificing lateral stability
- Carbon construction with internal junction control mold technology for precise wall thickness and fewer voids at high-stress zones
- Drop-bar mountain geometry with a 69° head tube angle and 445mm chainstays for long-wheelbase stability
- Massive tire and mud clearance — up to 29 x 3.0" up front and 29 x 2.4" in the rear
- Multi-bottle and cargo compatibility: up to five bottle mounts, direct-mount frame bag compatibility, fork Three-Pack mounts, and rear rack compatibility with the Salsa Wanderlust Rack
- Suspension-fork ready, designed for up to 100mm of travel with forks up to 506mm axle-to-crown
